A firming ampoule from VT Cosmetics for skin that has started to lose tension and resilience, and that reacts easily while it is being treated. It sits at the end of a routine as the concentrated step, and is unusual in pairing a firming brief with a genuinely barrier-focused formula.
Two mechanisms run in parallel. On the firming side, sodium DNA — the polynucleotide fraction sold under the PDRN name — works alongside copper tripeptide-1, one of the better-studied signal peptides for firmness, and acetyl hexapeptide-8. Adenosine, an ingredient recognised in Korea for wrinkle care, appears in the same list. On the tolerance side, five ceramides (NP, NS, AS, AP and EOP) rebuild the lipid layer that holds water in the skin, centella asiatica extract calms redness and irritation, and squalane, panthenol and tocopherol soften and protect. Panax ginseng root extract and collagen amino acids complete the blend. The result is a firming step that does not push the barrier the way acids or retinoids do — which is the point of pairing PDRN with cica.
The texture is a light ampoule rather than a heavy serum: it absorbs quickly and layers cleanly under a moisturiser, sunscreen or make-up.
Key ingredients
- Sodium DNA (PDRN) — the polynucleotide active the range is named for, used for skin renewal and elasticity.
- Copper tripeptide-1 and acetyl hexapeptide-8 — signal peptides with a long history of use in firming and expression-line formulas.
- Five ceramides (NP, NS, AS, AP, EOP) — the full ceramide set, rebuilding the lipid barrier so hydration is retained.
- Centella asiatica extract — reduces redness and irritation, and is why this suits reactive skin.
- Adenosine — an established wrinkle-care active in Korean formulations.
- Squalane and tocopherol — a light emollient and an antioxidant that keep the finish comfortable.
How to use
- Cleanse and apply toner.
- Dispense a small amount and press it over the face, concentrating on jawline, cheeks and neck.
- Allow around a minute to absorb.
- Seal with a moisturiser; in the morning, finish with sunscreen.
Recommended frequency
- Mature or slack skin — twice daily, morning and evening.
- Normal or combination skin — once daily in the evening.
- Reactive skin — once daily; it works well on the evenings you skip your retinoid.
Improved hydration and a calmer complexion appear within one to two weeks. Firmness is slower: allow eight to twelve weeks of daily use before assessing it.
Best suited to
Dry, mature or dehydrated skin that wants firming without irritation, and skin easily provoked by stronger anti-ageing actives. Per skinsort's ingredient analysis the formula is not fungal-acne safe and contains a few ingredients that may not suit very oily or congestion-prone skin, so those types should introduce it gradually.

Good to know
PDRN and peptides layer well with most routines, but keep exfoliating acids to a separate step or evening rather than applying this ampoule onto freshly acidified skin. Not fungal-acne safe. Once opened, use within twelve months. Store away from direct sunlight and heat. Patch test on the jawline first if your skin is highly reactive.
