A two-step hydrating mask from VT Cosmetics for skin that is dehydrated rather than dry — tight after cleansing, dull under make-up, and prone to fine surface lines that vanish the moment anything wet is applied. It pairs a spicule ampoule with a hydrogel sheet.
Step one is the Hydrop Reedle Shot itself, a serum carrying VT's CICA REEDLE micro-spicules. Massaged into clean skin, the spicules open temporary micro-channels in the surface layer so the hydrating actives that follow are not left sitting on an intact barrier. Step two is a hydrogel sheet — gel-based rather than cotton — so it clings to the contours of the face, does not dry out and can be worn far longer than a conventional sheet mask. The hydration comes from HA nano-capsules and a very low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, supported by glyceryl glucoside, ectoine, amino acids and panthenol.
Because the hydrogel does not evaporate, VT allows anything from 20 minutes to overnight wear — a reset step before an event or after a flight.
Key ingredients
- CICA REEDLE micro-spicules — fine particles that create temporary micro-channels in the skin surface so the hydrating step that follows is not purely superficial.
- HA nano-capsules — encapsulated hyaluronic acid designed to release its water-binding load below the very surface.
- Super low molecular weight hyaluronic acid — small-fragment HA that hydrates deeper within the surface layers than standard HA.
- Glyceryl glucoside and ectoine — osmolyte-type humectants that help skin retain water and cope with environmental stress.
- Panthenol and amino acids — calm the skin and support its natural moisturising factor.
How to use
- Cleanse and pat dry; skip toner so the first step is not diluted.
- Apply step one and massage gently for about a minute until absorbed.
- Unfold the hydrogel sheet onto the face, smoothing out air pockets.
- Leave 20-40 minutes for ordinary use, two to three hours for intensive care, or overnight.
- Remove and press the remaining essence into the skin. Do not rinse.
Recommended frequency
- Dehydrated or dull skin — once or twice a week.
- Normal skin, maintenance — once a week, or before an event.
- Sensitive skin — once every ten to fourteen days; the spicule step is an active step.
Plumpness and softened dehydration lines are visible immediately on removal and typically hold for two to three days. Lasting comfort comes from regular weekly use rather than a single mask.
Best suited to
Dehydrated, dull or travel-worn skin of any type, including oily skin, since the hydration here is not oil-based. Anyone with a compromised barrier, rosacea, eczema or freshly treated skin should avoid the spicule step.

Good to know
Spicules produce a light prickling or warmth during the first step; that is expected, persistent stinging is not. Do not use on the same evening as a retinoid, acid exfoliant or scrub. Single use — discard the sheet after one application. Store flat, away from heat. Patch test on the jawline first if you have never used a spicule product.
