Hydrocolloid works by absorbing excess fluid, sebum, and impurities from within the blemish and drawing them into the patch itself, which visibly turns white as it works. Simultaneously, it maintains a moist microenvironment over the skin that is clinically recognised as the most conducive condition for accelerated wound healing and minimal post-blemish scarring.
