Muhwagua is Korean for fig, and the composition is built around the fruit rather than a generic sweet-gourmand accord. It opens on fig fruit — green and milky rather than sugary — moves into fig leaf, which is where the characteristic bitter-green, slightly sappy quality comes from, and settles on a soft woody fig-tree dry-down. The overall effect reads as early autumn: sweet, but with an earthy edge that stops it turning into a dessert fragrance.

The base carries conditioning extracts rather than being fragrance in solvent alone: streptococcus thermophilus ferment, chlorella vulgaris extract, cherry blossom and robinia pseudoacacia flower extracts, and hinoki cypress water. It also contains alcohol denat., which carries the fragrance and flashes off quickly — hence the light, non-sticky finish, and the reason to keep it off freshly shaved or broken skin.

How to use

2. Spray onto pulse points from 20 to 30 cm — wrists, sides of the neck, collarbone. Do not rub the wrists together; friction distorts how the notes develop.
3. For hair, mist lightly over the mid-lengths and ends rather than the scalp, then comb through.
4. For fabrics, spray from 30 to 40 cm to avoid marking the material.

Recommended frequency

• Everyday wear — one or two sprays in the morning, refreshed in the afternoon as needed.
• Hair between washes — a light mist through the lengths, once daily at most; use sparingly on dry or bleached hair, as alcohol-based mists are drying on porous hair.
