A concentrated scalp ampoule from VT Cosmetics for thinning hair, weak roots and a congested scalp. It is applied directly to the scalp through a press-button nozzle rather than spread through the hair, so 15 ml goes further than the small bottle suggests.

The Reedle Shot name refers to VT's spicule technology. The formula carries fine silica micro-spicules that create temporary micro-channels in the surface of the scalp when massaged in, so the water-soluble actives behind them reach past the outermost layer instead of sitting on it. Caffeine sits high in the ingredient list — the best-known topical ingredient for scalp application in the context of thinning hair. Behind it are biotin, niacinamide, black soybean seed extract, panax ginseng root, a long traditional herbal complex, a full amino acid profile, sodium DNA and acetyl hexapeptide-8. Centella asiatica appears not only as extract but as its isolated fractions — asiaticoside, asiatic acid, madecassic acid and madecassoside — the more meaningful form for a soothing claim.

Expect a distinctly cool, tingling sensation from the denatured alcohol base and cooling agent. This is a treatment step, not a styling product.

Key ingredients

  • Silica micro-spicules (CICA REEDLE) — create temporary micro-channels in the scalp surface so the actives behind them are not left sitting on top.
  • Caffeine — the formula's primary active for scalp application in thinning-hair routines.
  • Biotin and niacinamide — B vitamins used topically for scalp condition and comfort.
  • Centella asiatica fractions — asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic and madecassic acid, calming a scalp that is being actively treated.
  • Panax ginseng root and black soybean seed extract — traditional Korean scalp botanicals, used here for scalp conditioning.

How to use

  1. Turn the unlock button at the base of the bottle to release the applicator.
  2. Part dry, clean hair and place the tip flat against the scalp on the areas of concern.
  3. Press to dispense and move along the parting, section by section.
  4. Massage in with the fingertips until absorbed. Do not rinse. Lock the button again after use.

Recommended frequency

  • Noticeable thinning or shedding — once daily on a dry scalp, ideally in the evening.
  • Maintenance or prevention — three to four times a week.
  • Sensitive scalp — start at twice a week and build up only if there is no persistent stinging.

Cooling and a cleaner-feeling scalp are immediate. Hair growth cycles are slow: three to six months of uninterrupted daily use is the realistic window before assessing density.

Best suited to

Adults concerned with thinning, weak roots or an oily, congested scalp. Avoid on a broken, sunburnt, freshly bleached or inflamed scalp and on eczema or psoriasis patches. Anyone with medically diagnosed hair loss should treat this as a supportive cosmetic step, not a replacement for treatment.

Good to know

Contains denatured alcohol and a cooling agent; a brief tingle is expected, sustained burning is not — rinse if that happens. Apply to the scalp only, away from the eyes, and not on the same evening as a scalp scrub or exfoliating scalp acid. Patch test behind the ear first.
