Around the filters, Pinus sylvestris bud extract contributes antioxidant polyphenols that help neutralise UV-generated free radicals, Ceramide NP replaces a barrier lipid sun exposure depletes, niacinamide supports barrier function and tone, and a peptide complex addresses firmness. The result sits between a sunscreen and a light day treatment.

How to use

1. Apply every morning as the last skincare step, before makeup.
2. Use roughly two finger-lengths for face and neck to reach the labelled SPF.
3. Spread evenly and allow one to two minutes to settle before base makeup.
4. Reapply every two hours of direct sun exposure, and after swimming or towelling.
5. Double cleanse in the evening to remove the film fully.

Recommended frequency

• All skin types — daily, all year; UVA reaches skin through cloud and window glass.
• Dry or barrier-compromised skin — daily; the ceramide content makes it kinder than a bare filter formula.
• Using retinoids, acids or vitamin C — daily without exception, as these increase photosensitivity.
• Timeline — protection begins on application. Barrier comfort typically improves within two to four weeks.

A good everyday sunscreen for normal, dry, combination and mature skin, and for anyone who dislikes the cast or weight of mineral formulas. Very oily skin may find the finish slightly too emollient. Anyone with a known allergy to pine or conifer botanicals should avoid it, and highly reactive skin should patch test first.
