A fully mineral daily sunscreen for skin that reacts badly to organic UV filters. Zinc oxide is the only filter in the formula, which makes it a practical choice for sensitive, post-procedure or rosacea-prone skin. It carries SPF50+ PA++++, the highest UVA rating in the Korean system.

Zinc oxide sits on the skin surface and scatters, reflects and partly absorbs UV across the broadest wavelength range of any single filter available, covering UVB and both short and long UVA. Because nothing has to be absorbed to work, the irritation potential is low. The base is silicone and ester rather than water-heavy emulsifiers, which is what lets a high zinc load spread thinly without dragging and gives the dry, blurred finish. Niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate and panthenol offset the drying effect mineral bases can have.

The texture is a light cream setting to a velvet-matte, pore-blurring finish, so it doubles as a makeup base for combination and oily skin.

How to use

1. Apply as the final morning step, after moisturiser and before makeup.
2. Use roughly two finger-lengths for face and neck. Under-application is the main reason sunscreen underperforms.
3. Spread evenly, then press into the skin rather than rubbing, so the mineral film settles without streaking.
4. Reapply every two hours of sun exposure, and after swimming or heavy sweating.
5. Remove in the evening with an oil or balm cleanser.

• All skin types — every morning, year-round; UVA remains meaningful in winter and through glass.
• Sensitive or reactive skin — daily; a zinc-only filter system is generally better tolerated.
• Oily and combination skin — daily; the matte finish suits this skin type well.
• Treating pigmentation — daily and non-negotiable, with reapplication.
• Timeline — protection is immediate. The benefit of consistent use, less new pigmentation and slower photoageing, is preventative and shows over months rather than weeks.

Deeper skin tones should be aware a zinc-only formula can leave a visible cast. Very dry skin may find it too matting alone and should layer it over a richer moisturiser.

Good to know

Formulated without added fragrance, essential oils and alcohol, which is why it suits reactive skin. It layers safely over retinoids, vitamin C and exfoliating acids, and is the necessary companion to all three. Store away from heat and direct sunlight.
