A firming and soothing treatment cream that pairs a five-peptide complex with a full centella asiatica system — and publishes the exact concentration of every active in parts per million. That transparency is rare enough to be worth noting on its own, because most brands claiming a "peptide complex" will not tell you how much of anything is actually in the jar.

The design pairs two ingredient families that work well together. Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signalling molecules, associated with firmness, elasticity and the appearance of expression lines. Centella asiatica calms, soothes and supports the skin's own repair processes. Firming actives on unhappy skin tend to underperform; calming the skin while working on firmness is the more sensible order of operations.

The texture is cushiony and fast-absorbing, and the formula is vegan, silicone-free, fragrance-free and free of drying alcohol — a combination that makes it one of the safer choices in our range for sensitive skin that also wants anti-ageing actives.

Declared concentrations

Haruharu Wonder publish the following, in parts per million:

  • Hydrolysed soy protein — 900 ppm
  • Centella asiatica extract — 150 ppm
  • Hydrolysed pea protein — 100 ppm
  • Madecassoside — 90 ppm
  • Asiaticoside — 60 ppm
  • Copper tripeptide-1 — 20.02 ppm
  • Acetyl hexapeptide-8 — 10.02 ppm
  • Asiatic acid — 6 ppm; madecassic acid — 6 ppm
  • Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, oligopeptide-32, oligopeptide-29 — 0.02 ppm each

Read honestly: the copper tripeptide-1 and acetyl hexapeptide-8 sit at levels consistent with functional cosmetic use; the final three peptides are present at trace levels and contribute to the complex rather than doing heavy lifting individually. This is a gentle, everyday firming and soothing cream — not a high-dose clinical peptide treatment. Priced and formulated accordingly, and we would rather tell you than let you infer otherwise from the phrase "5 peptide".

Key ingredients

  • Copper tripeptide-1 (20.02 ppm) — the most studied peptide in the formula, long associated with skin repair, firmness and antioxidant activity.
  • Acetyl hexapeptide-8 (10.02 ppm) — known commercially as Argireline, used specifically for the appearance of expression lines.
  • Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, oligopeptide-32, oligopeptide-29 — signalling peptides supporting firmness and renewal.
  • Full centella asiatica system — the extract at 150 ppm plus all four isolated actives: madecassoside, asiaticoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid, each declared. Soothing, calming and supportive of the skin's repair processes.
  • Hydrolysed soy protein (900 ppm) and hydrolysed pea protein (100 ppm) — the largest actives by concentration, conditioning and supporting firmness.
  • Caffeine — antioxidant, and useful for depuffing and a temporary tightening effect.
  • Squalane — a lightweight emollient nearly identical to a lipid the skin produces itself.
  • Ceramide NP and phytosterols — barrier lipids supporting structure and moisture retention.
  • Shea butter — rich emollient for lasting comfort without heaviness.
  • Sea buckthorn fruit extract — antioxidant support, high in carotenoids and vitamins.
  • Adenosine — a regulator-recognised functional anti-wrinkle active in Korea.
  • Xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol and xylitol — a well-regarded hydration complex that supports the skin's own water reserves.

How to use

  1. Cleanse, then apply toner, essence and any serums.
  2. Take a small amount — this is a 30 ml concentrate, so roughly a pea-sized amount for the full face is correct. Do not use it like a standard moisturiser.
  3. Warm briefly between the fingertips, then massage gently upward and outward.
  4. Finish by patting to help absorption.
  5. Extend down onto the neck — the area that shows loss of firmness earliest and gets treated least.
  6. Follow with sunscreen in the morning. On very dry skin, layer a richer cream over the top at night.

Recommended frequency

  • Standard use: twice daily, morning and evening, as the manufacturer recommends.
  • As a targeted treatment: evenings only, layered under a richer moisturiser, if you already have a moisturiser you like.
  • Sensitive or reactive skin: twice daily. Peptides and centella are among the best-tolerated actives available — there is no build-up period required.
  • Alongside retinoids: excellent. Use this in the morning and your retinoid at night, or layer this over a retinoid as a buffering and soothing step.
  • Timeline: immediate comfort and hydration. Peptide effects on firmness and fine lines are gradual and cumulative — expect 8 to 12 weeks of consistent twice-daily use before judging it.

Best suited to

Early loss of firmness and elasticity. Fine lines and expression lines. Sensitive or reactive skin that wants anti-ageing actives without irritation. Redness-prone skin. Anyone who cannot tolerate retinoids and needs a gentler route to the same goals. Also an excellent choice for those following vegan, silicone-free or fragrance-free routines.

How it compares within our range

  • This cream — the gentle, non-irritating route to firmness. Peptides and centella. No adjustment period, no photosensitivity, safe in pregnancy.
  • SEOUL 1988 Retinal Cream or Haruharu Night Knight Retinol Serum — stronger, better-evidenced results on lines over time, but requiring gradual introduction, evening use, daily SPF, and unsuitable during pregnancy.
  • SKIN1004 Centella TECA Cream — more centella and brightening actives, less peptide. Choose that one if redness and marks are your main concern; choose this one if firmness is.

Good to know

At 30 ml this is a concentrate rather than a bulk moisturiser — use it sparingly and, if your skin is dry, layer a richer cream on top rather than using more of this. Fragrance-free, silicone-free, alcohol-free and vegan, which makes it one of the safest anti-ageing options we stock for reactive skin, and a sound choice during pregnancy when retinoids are off the table. For external use only. Avoid direct contact with the eyes. Discontinue use if irritation develops. Apply with clean hands. Store away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
